BE CAREFUL OF THE GOLD PRESENT
I really feel that the gold present deal is such a scam. After opening several gifts, I saw the gold present which you can trade. It said you can trade 5 presents for 5 FV cash but you will get the best present of all. I opened one, traded it with the understanding that I will pay 5 FV cash after trading 5 presents...but...NAY.
Everytime you trade, you pay 5 FV cash. This is so poor on the part the generous Farmville staff who has given a lot of excitement this Christmas yet had to also include a spoiler.
In fact, the gifts that I opened to trade were brown chicken, white lamb (which I already got from my other presents, etc. but which I HAVE TO SHELL OUT 5 FV CASH for.
BE CAREFUL ABOUT THAT GOLD PRESENT!!!
DON'T BOTHER, IF I WERE YOU.
EXCITING PRESENTS UNDER YOUR TREE
Early this morning I saw the note that our 100 presents can now be opened. So I opened a couple of them and got some nice ones like the 2010 New Year ball, gray tabbey, lamb, etc. I didn't have time to open them anymore because I was rushing to work but it's my understanding that as soon as you open and use the gift, you can accept more gifts to put in the tree.
SO FRIENDS, WE CAN STILL SEND GIFTS UNTIL JAN. 7, 2010 so keep them coming. Remember to use first the ones in the tree to free some space.
Happy?

Farmville Sparks Global Cooling in Europe
Been out for a while trying to unravel the mystery behind finding those precious eggs but really, it's so time consuming I'm almost giving up. I produced my first gold egg though and also hatched the first gold egg. But I have really yet to allocate more time to see if I can collect more eggs and the rare ones at that. I have a neighbor who has 4 gold chickens and one black, yet she's only able to produce white eggs. Hmmmm. I hope to be able to crack the code on my next post.
Anyhow, we've been snowed for real. Farmville sparked global cooling here in Europe. Nobody expected to wake up with real, unmelting snow. The scenery is so white, pure and serene. Everytime I look outside, I can just see Farmville.
Farmville is in my head all the time!
Well, if you've listened to the latest Farmville podcast, you would have known by now about the new limited edition Christmas decorations.
And also that there will be a new cutie to appear in your farm for adoption....a PENGUIN.
Can't wait to collect my cute penguins.

Eggs Becoming Rarer To Find
Haven't you noticed that the mystery eggs are hard to come by these days?? Well, don't despair. Patience is all you need to harvest those mystery eggs and share them to your friends and from the other end, you will need tons of patience too, luck and proper timing to be able to get a mystery egg from your friend.
Here is a list of what are inside these eggs:
WHITE: pink flamingo, garden gnome, brown egg or white chicken
BROWN: 1 fuel refill, black chicken, brown chicken
BLACK: 10 fuel refills, golden chicken, black chicken
GOLD: 20 fuel refills, golden garden gnome, fire pit, hot tub, tree swing, golden chicken.
I was very lucky to get a tree swing and fire pit from two golden eggs.
Good luck on your egg hunt!

Golden Egg
Wow, today I found a golden egg and much as I wished for a gold chicken so that I can breed them in my farm, I got the first prize.....a TREE SWING.
Not bad for my first rare find!
How often do you find black or gold eggs?
Rare Presents!
Wait. With the extra space in the Christmas tree, don't go about accepting the gifts from friends. Be sure to hunt first for those "special" presents from your neighbors posted on the news feed. Try to use the extra space for these special presents as they are rumored to contain exciting prizes like huge XPs and cash.
Now Christmas in Farmville becomes like an easter-egg hunt, only we're hunting for those precious boxes!

Fatten Your Christmas Tree
Last week, I have sold or ignored a lot of presents that were sent by my neighbors because my tree was already full to the 60 max.
But despite my pleas for friends not to send me presents anymore, I still received 60 gifts so I decided not to touch them yet.
This morning, I saw a neighbor posting something about his tree being full and one can get "a present" from him.
So I checked my tree again, and wow, it has expanded capacity to 100 presents.
Luckilly, I still have presents stashed in Facebook home page so I was able to fill the tree immediately.
When it was full, I got a post saying to share my holiday cheer and someone who clicks on it will get a different colored present that can't be found in the gift box.
So, friends, start filling up your trees again.
If you don't find enough neighbors sending you presents to fill your tree, then hunt for those presents via the newsfeed from friends who have posted that their trees are full and would like to share a present!
It will be wise to post if you need or do not need anymore presents so we can start sending other items like the snowman, candy cane, etc.
T'is the season the be jolly.
Check out my burping tree!
It's 14 days more to Christmas in the real world!

Snow to Grass. Grass to Snow?
So, are you already getting tired of seeing snow everywhere in Farmville? Well, this morning when I was fiddling with the snow, I hit the snow button again which is found in the Expand farm tab, thinking I can still fill the whole farm with snow but....it turned back to green....AND for 1000 coins.
So, you can turn off snow but you need to buy back the original landscape!
Now check out my manors which look like frosted gingerbread houses. Awwwww!
Dairy Farm is Full? Solved!
Tonight I put my first bull in the Dairy Farm and immediately I had a baby...a pink calf.
Now I proceeded to take one cow from my other four Dairy Farms but it kept on saying that farm's full. I can't even put back the cows that were originally inside them.
But don't worry. It's sorted. My Dairy Farms are placed so close together so what I did was to move one Dairy Farm somewhere, take out one cow and voila, the bull went inside.
I just needed to place the Dairy Farm back to its original position.
Now I'm sure we'd all be juggling colored cows to produce the cutest calves!!!
Happy breeding!
BLUE MYSTERY BOX
And yes, half an hour before leaving for work, I just had to get some of the gifts from the blue mystery boxes.
The first one I got was a gold chicken with 50 XPs.
Then I got a snow globe with 450 XPs.
Then a super spin ride for 500 XPs.
I was really trying to get a merry-go-round but for the last item, I got a gumdrop tree for 600 XPs. Mind you, I already purchased a gumdrop tree which gave a very expensive 2500 XP. I regret that I didn't buy one more. I guess the devs made a mistake on pricing that one!
Hmm, I think that's all I'm buying from the blue mystery box.
A few more days and they'd have a new colored mystery box.

A Horny Bull
Whoaaaa, I just slept a few hours and I awake with lots of Christmas updates in Farmville.
There's an adaptable "horny bull" which is so cute. Apparently, if you put the bull in the dairy farm, chances are it'll produce babies. Yes, a calf. Depending on the combination, it's possible to get white, brown, green or pink calf.
How exciting can that be?
So start looking for those stray bulls and let them reproduce in your dairy barns!
I had my first bull today.

Withered Crops to Be Revived Until Thursday
Are you still in agony over crops that withered lately? Well, curse no more as the Farmville busters have breathed new life to your dead crops.
Good news! Because of the recent tech issues, Farmville decided to revive ALL withered crops and made ALL mature crops wither-proof until Thursday, 1oth of December, 12:01 am U.S. time.
So don't think that there's a glitch that you can just plant and let your plant wither and then see them resurrected in no time to harvest. It's only while the tech issues are being resolved. Have a happy and bountiful harvest!

Silver Mystery boxes
Much to the disappointment of many who became addicted to the green mystery boxes, we can now buy silvery mystery boxes for 16 FV cash.
That was my first total disappointment from buying mystery boxes.
But then, a real junkie at FV, I just had to try one more time.
I then tried my luck and gee, I was so happy. I got me an animated golden fountain with 450 XP!!!
I then tried my luck and gee, I was so happy. I got me an animated golden fountain with 450 XP!!!
Being so childlike happy at the beautiful cascading water, I bought another box to try if I can get another one but instead I got a platinum gnome with 300 XP. Not bad either if you consider the XPs I gained without sweat which made me move up a level again.
Now now. Of course I will have to say ok, ok. This is the last time. I really wanted to get a second fountain for the last time so I bought another silver box. I let it stay in my farm for at least 5 minutes before opening it. I closed my eyes and gave a deep sigh.
Oh yeahhh! A golden fountain.
It's now placed near the Pagoda which is now slowly turning into a "zen" area, next to my groovy barns.
These are just the surprises that I have received. Apparently, there is still a gold sleigh with 150 XP, a Tinsel Tree with 150 XP or a Holiday gate with 100 XP to be won.
Are you willing to try your luck this time?
!
Mystery Boxes
The mystery boxes are really cool but you have to be very lucky because some of the items give a lot of XP.
The first time the mystery boxes appeared, I bought one and got a stripped rest tent. Eeeuuwww. I was disappointed so I stopped.
And then the pink mystery boxes came out with all the fair items and other stuff was water tower, etc. but I still wasn't tempted to buy yet.
Then the green mystery boxes came out. I tried one and gosh I got a pagoda with 1,500 XP. That's when I really splurged on my $$$$$.
I almost blew my credit card but it was all worth it. I got 2 pagodas, 3 green tool sheds, 4 black manors, 3 x 50 fuel refills and 6 groovy barns.
Mind you, a day before all this hysteria on the mystery boxes, I bought a groovy barn for the normal price of around 27 FVs. With the mystery box, it was only 16 FVs....and I didn't mind getting six of them really. Now I have more storage space!
The reward was with the XP which enabled me to go at least 3 levels up very fast.
Check out my groovy barns:
REAL-TIME CYBER ASSETS
People will complain that my farm doesn't look like a farm anymore.
Aha aha but that's the way I like it.
I even started on converting my farm as a vacation resort.
If Farmville is supposed to remain as plain as a farm with crops, animals and barns, then why did the devs incessantly tempt us with new stuff like flowers, merry-go-rounds, flags, etc.
Admit it. You can't be a plain farmer anymore.
It has evolved...although I didn't go into that alien thing buying that green cow and flying saucer.
Mine has started to look like a real village now.
I will continue to buy, sell, rebuild and refurbish!

A MILLIONAIRE'S ROW
RICH, CASH-BUYING NEIGHBORS
I visited my neighbors' farms and got the shock of my life.
I belong to a "millionaires' row."
My neighbors had beautiful barns with 2 to 3 villas, manors and other expensive decorations and buildings bought from the market....with real $$$$$.
This is the first in my neighborhood with 3 villas, but a lot of my neighbors now have also at least two villas
SO!!!!!Farmville has really evolved. It's not just a farm now for some players. Just like Poker, Farmville now has big-time players. We're using real cash just for the excitement of getting a surprise from mystery boxes or making our other neighbors jealous with our new acquisitions.
It more or less feeds the ego...you know, owning an expensive building and having something on your farm that others don't have.
Buying expensive items in the market now becomes a status symbol in the neighborhood...where you belong.
It's like buying a designer handbag, shoes or clothes. It's class.
Buying my first white manor gave me the same high as when I bought my first Louis Vuitton bag.
And then your neighbors start complimenting you on those awesome cool items you have in the farm. And it's also more of keeping up appearances as regards your very rich neighbors.
It's has become challenging...and more than the plowing and harvesting, it's a struggle to find the perfect design, the perfect layout to have the best looking farm in town!
Have you ever visited a neighbors' farm and got smitten by it? Do you have a favorite farm in the neighborhood that you can't help but visit and check everyday???

BLACK CHICKEN: The Right Formula?
Tonight, I collected chicken eggs and voila found a mystery brown egg.
The first neighbor to hatch my brown egg said she got a BLACK chicken.
I'm so jealous.
I haven't hatched a black chicken yet.
Could it be because yesterday, I changed the combination of the white and brown chickens?
My coop today had 6 white chickens and 14 brown ones.
Could that be the secret formula??

I've hatched gnomes, flamingos and fuels already. I have yet to find a neighbor who can give me a black or gold chicken!
Do you already have black or gold chicken?
Christmas Village
My farm has now evolved into a Christmas Village.
As you can see, I spared no $$$$ to purchase manors, pagodas and decors using FV cash. A lot of people are asking why there are "crazy" ones who are spending real money just for an internet game.
As you can see, I spared no $$$$ to purchase manors, pagodas and decors using FV cash. A lot of people are asking why there are "crazy" ones who are spending real money just for an internet game.
Well, let me tell you why.
I began with a small farm, with a few plots that spell my name: LOUI
Had a few animals and cherry trees and I was happy.
I began with a small farm, with a few plots that spell my name: LOUI
Had a few animals and cherry trees and I was happy.
That time, it was plowing, planting, harvesting day in and day out to go up to the next levels.
But then my farm looked so boring and so pink when I bought all cherry trees to surround my farm.
I checked the market and nothing attracted me but the pink buildings like pink barn, pink cottage and pink tool shed...and they can't be bought with FC or coins.
And then just before Halloween, the devs came out with that "animated haunted house." Ohhh I just fell in love with it and I had to buy it.
That's when I decided to shell out $$$ to buy that cool blue lighting house with bats hovering around every few minutes....plus the pink barn and pink cottage so my farm will look a little like it is a lady's farm.
I'm not a farmer although friends claim I have a green thumb, because even if I just let my indoor potted plants without water for weeks, they thrive and multiply.
But that doesn't mean that I will be a good farmer and I am certain that I will "suck" as a cyber farmer.
FIRST REAL-TIME ASSETS
I am a thinking person with a very creative mind so I need to think, fiddle or simply manipulate using my imagination.
My first acquisitions with real $$$$ didn't give me any pain. In fact it gave me so much pleasure because for only $20, I loved how my farm looked.
I just think of it as buying another video game like a Wii game which is even more expensive.
Not only did my farm looked very chic (IMO), I also gained XPs to go up a level fast.
And then I checked my neighbors.
